1.
Setup a separate email address to be used only for your survey business. You will be receiving a large number of paid survey opportunities daily after a little while, and it will be much easier if they're separated from your regular email.
2.
You may want a Paypal Account, that is if you don't already have one. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account as most of cash paying online survey companies issue checks as a form of payment, but a few sites use PayPal as a form of payment.
3.
Decide whether you want cash (points for cash), points for products, sweepstakes, or coupons. Signup with as many paid online survey sites as you can handle and are interested in. Keep in a safe place the login name and password you created when signing up with each online survey companies.
4.
Be sure to fill out any "profiles" for any sites that have them because filling out profiles will increase your odds of being selected for a survey. Don't be afraid of filling in your credit card information. It is usually to very that you are over 18, or if it is a product, for shipping and handling costs.
5.
Check your email often for invitations. If you wait to long a survey may be closed before you are able to participate (This happened to me many times.)
6.
Initially, accept and take every online paid survey opportunities to establish yourself as a reliable survey worker because established survey takers get more of the higher-dollar surveys. Once you have a track record and are getting the number of high dollar surveys you desire, then you can be picky and choose which surveys to answer.
7.
Don't be discouraged if you don't get as many survey opportunities in the beginning. And also, don't be discouraged if you don't get qualified to complete surveys. Be patient my friend because as time passes by you will get more surveys.
8.
Try to be honest. As you start taking these surveys, you'll realize that these are real companies looking for YOUR honest feedback. You have an opportunity to influence the products you buy. Make use of everything you know.
9.
Keep records of your paychecks received from survey companies for tax purposes in case you have to pay taxes on it. Your total yearly earnings from online surveys should be claimed under "other income" on your personal income taxes, however you are also able to complete Schedule C, which allows for deductible expenses that are incurred taking online surveys including such things as internet access, electricity, office furniture, computer equipment, etc. These expenses will offset your total income earned, but you will still be required to pay self-employment tax on the remaining income as you will probably be considered an independent consultant for tax purposes.
